Committee Assignments

  • Committee assignment is not limited to sawmill equipment

  • Report any significant developments through articles for Crossties magazine.

  • Conduct annual Field Trip  

  • Report to conference on committee developments of interest during the year and on matters having an impact on wood crosstie markets.

  • Participate in Field Trip 

  • Continue the annual survey of short and long-term usage and demand for wood crossties in categories:

    • Class I railroad information 

    • Regional and short line railroad information 

  • Recommend and provide positive promotional information to individuals who use crossties

  • Develop topics and a means to get the information out to the industry

  • Develop data for Tie Trends - graphs, charts, etc.

  • Develop and maintain Producer Reporting Group

  • Recommend assignments for coming year
